I thought this was an interesting post.
As I have been reading a lot on Christianity lately, I have come to the conclusion there is no real definitive description for what a Christian is. It seems that there are countless interpretations and viewpoints on what it means to be Christian... It seems everyone decides to cherry pick scripture and work their beliefs around that. Sure there may be some points that most agree on, but really its a hodge podge, as Im sure it is with all religions. So I have decided to be Christian, and in the following few paragraphs I will show you what I am going to base my beliefs on.
Now, of course, we all know that good Christians don't pick-and-choose the portions of the Bible that they focus on! Right? Hmmm... if that's the case, then I guess I've never met a good Christian.
So, go on, just for a moment indulge yourself and tell me what kind of Christian you are. What texts do you focus on? What biblical stories and emphases make up the heart of your faith?
