It seems that no sooner do I announce my intention to blog more than 1 post on a topic than I get bogged-down with no end of tasks to prevent it. So, I've only written 2 or 3 posts in my alternatives to spanking series and have another 2 to post on the Eucharist - and they were my Lenten
blog topics! :-?
Yet, some misguided readers just will not be put-off. So, thanks to Raylene for honouring me
with a "Thinking Blogger Award" and to Mark for the ridiculous idea of including me amongst his list of "Influencers
". The latter is particularly kind given the North American bias of the whole thing. (I would have included my own list, if not for this bias.)
The reason I managed to do so little blogging over Lent is that I've had a nasty bout of one sickness after another. The Doctors are running a number of tests and coming up with various theories. The worst part of the whole thing is an almost-constant feeling of dizziness and queasiness. I described it to one of the doctors as like a hang-over, but it varies in intensity so that's not always accurate.
In good news, I get to preach on Jubilee
this weekend to the good folk at Central Vineyard
. It's part of a series on spiritual disciplines and I'll be seeking to lay some foundations for the cheerful practice of radical giving.
Pray for us all!
